Familia Mesa Tequila is a premium, verified additive-free tequila produced in Arandas, Los Altos de Jalisco, Mexico — from a family distillery that has been operating for nearly 38 years.

Founded by Daniel Mesa after discovering five generations of his family's agave heritage at a Jalisco wedding, Familia Mesa is built on one founding principle: nothing is ever added. No glycerin. No sugar syrups. No caramel coloring. No oak extract. The liquid is exactly what the agave, the fermentation, and the distillation produce — and nothing more.

We produce two expressions: BLANCO — 100% blue Weber agave, hand-harvested from the red volcanic soils of Los Altos de Jalisco at over 2,000 metres altitude. Slow-roasted in 38-year-old brick masonry ovens. Wild yeast fermentation from bees in our adjacent lemon orchard. Double-distilled in copper coil stills. Bottled immediately. Zero additives. No burn. No after-burn.

REPOSADO JOVEN — Same zero-additive foundation as the Blanco. Rested in American oak barrels — each barrel assessed individually, with batches ranging from two to six months depending on the spirit's readiness. Natural cork closure. Soft vanilla warmth. Completely natural.

In 2026, both expressions were recognised at the Bartender Spirits Awards: Silver Medal (87 points) for the Blanco and Bronze Medal (83 points) for the Reposado Joven — in the brand's first year of entry.

Our bottle is designed specifically for bartenders — with embossed measurement markings directly in the glass for speed and precision behind the bar.

Familia Mesa made its European debut at Athens Bar Show 2025. We are actively expanding across Greece, the United Kingdom, Spain, France, Belgium, Cyprus, and Germany — with Bar Convent Berlin 2026 as our flagship European trade activation.
