JUZAN Co., Ltd. manages the Ikawa Forest, a 24,430-hectare company-owned forest in the Minami Alps of Japan. Guided by the philosophy “Protecting nature, and living in harmony with it,” the company works to conserve biodiversity, protect water resources, and create new value from the forest.

Ikawa Distillery was established in 2020 at an altitude of 1,200 meters within this remote mountain environment, making it the highest-altitude whisky distillery in Japan. Using local spring water and traditional whisky-making methods, the distillery produces small-batch Japanese single malt whisky that reflects the climate, forests, and natural character of Ikawa.

Through whisky production, forest conservation, carbon credit initiatives, and nature-based tourism, JUZAN aims to build a sustainable model in which environmental protection and regional value creation support one another.
