19/08/2019 Really Bad Rums by Doc Brown Enterprises took home three medals at the 2019 Bartender’s Spirits Awards.
USA’s Doc Brown Enterprises went home with two silver medals for it's Really Bad Rum (Silver) and Really Bad Rum (Dark) at the 2019 Bartender’s Spirits Awards that took place in San Francisco.
They also grabbed a bronze medal for their Really Bad Rum (Spiced).
Doc Brown Enterprises Inc. was founded by Lee Doc Brown and his wife Susan. The two started out with making rum cakes, which received raving reviews from family, friends and strangers - which pushed the Browns to get into the cake business. The two realised that instead of promoting the brand of rum they used in their cakes, they would craft their own rum brand that would enhance the flavor of their cakes and offer rum for everyone to enjoy - Thus, the Really Bad Rum trio was born.
Really Bad Rum (Dark)
The Really Bad Rum (Dark) is known to be Doc’s flagship rum. The Dark edition of the Really Bad Rum has a velvety smooth taste with aromas of muted oak and vanilla - making it a unique, full-bodied rum. At 80 proof, this rum is a master blend whose flavors are enhanced by distilling twice and aging in oak casks.
Really Bad Rum (Silver)
Known as the ‘little sister’ of Doc’s Really Bad rums, the Silver edition is a light, dry-bodied old school classic spirit. With an 80 proof, it’s twice distilled and gluten-free(YAY). The heat in the rum delivers a premium, fresh, smooth, Florida cane flavour - which makes it the perfect rum for mixing.
Really Bad Rum (Spiced)
The Spiced edition of Really Bad Rums is a 70 proof rum, infused with classic spices, which gives the rum a golden hue. It graces the drinker with warm-bodied heat, with hints of vanilla and peppercorn that are blended with a pinch of honey to warm the palate.
The work of creating rum started in 2014 with a distillery in South Florida, where they crafted three rum formulas, namely - Really Bad Rum Dark, Really Bad Rum Silver, and Really Bad Rum Spiced.
They then used their range of Really Bad Rum to create a smoked barbeque sauce, named Really Bad Driftwood Smoked Barbecue Sauce. r. The product line links old family recipes with new, meticulously crafted rums and rum recipes for rum connoisseurs to take their taste buds on an unforgettable journey.
“Based on our positive reviews which are a real crowd pleaser and the mad science presentation of Really Bad Rum, Rum Cakes, and BBQ Sauce marketing, we continue to drive our integrated marketing plan targeting the best opportunities to share the “Really Bad” brand with the world and beyond” said the Browns.
“Our goal is to drive awareness and interest in the brand as a whole and knowing there is no marketing strategy or advertising placement more effective than a personal testimonial, word of mouth endorsements by the public sharing their “Really Bad” memorable experience” they added.
