Yacht Life Vodka: Building a Luxury Spirit Around the Art of the Good Life

17/08/2026 A Florida vodka brand brings yachting culture, thoughtful design, and bartending into the premium spirits world.

Yacht Life Vodka was conceived around a simple idea: luxury should be as enjoyable as it is distinctive.

The brand began with a drawing. Its creator, a yacht designer by profession, sketched a vodka bottle rather than another yacht interior or sundeck. The brief was unusually practical for a luxury spirit. The bottle needed to look at home on a fine-dining table and stand out on a premium bar, but it also needed to work aboard a yacht. That meant a square, slim format that could be stored efficiently and would not roll around at sea.

That original sketch became Yacht Life Vodka, a Florida-made vodka positioned around what the company calls "a taste of the good life."

The brand's target audience is closely connected to the lifestyle that inspired it. Its storytelling revolves around yachting, travel, hospitality, cocktails, and the social occasions that surround them. But beneath the lifestyle positioning is a fairly straightforward production philosophy: keep the liquid itself simple.

Yacht Life Vodka is made in Florida from American wheat and water, with the company stating that the vodka contains no additives. The spirit is distilled 16 times in a copper still before filtration. It is bottled at 40% ABV.

The resulting spirit is described as smooth and sophisticated, intended to work both as a sipping vodka and as a base for cocktails. Serving suggestions include enjoying it chilled or on the rocks, as well as using it in cocktails such as the Yachtini.

That versatility has become an important part of the brand's relationship with the bar community.

Yacht Life Vodka has built an ongoing programme around bartenders and mixologists, featuring professionals such as Jesse Perez, Carlos Mogollon and Marisa Marie Holt and developing signature cocktails around the vodka. The company describes these collaborations as part of its effort to connect the brand with the people creating drinks and experiences for consumers.

That hospitality focus is particularly relevant given the brand's performance at the 2024 Bartender Spirits Awards.

Yacht Life Vodka received a Silver Medal and 88 points. The competition's tasting notes described robust wheat aromas that continued onto the palate, accompanied by citrus and other sweet-fruit notes, with a pleasantly long finish.

For a vodka brand built around premium hospitality and cocktail occasions, recognition from a competition specifically judged through the perspective of bartenders and the on-premise trade provides a useful external benchmark.

The award also fits the way Yacht Life has approached its brand identity. The bottle itself is part of the proposition rather than simply a container. Its thin, square design is intended to maximise storage efficiency aboard yachts while also preventing the bottle from rolling in rough conditions. The modern artwork gives it a more decorative presence when displayed in a bar or home collection.

The packaging even carries the lifestyle beyond the label.

A QR element on each bottle connects consumers with yacht-related photographs and videos, cocktail recipes, music playlists associated with yachting destinations, and resources aimed at yacht owners and luxury-lifestyle enthusiasts.

The company has also experimented with limited and highly exclusive expressions. Yacht Life Vodka ALTA, created in collaboration with the 144-foot superyacht ALTA, was produced in a limited run of 840 bottles and intended exclusively for guests aboard the yacht. The project demonstrates how the brand can extend its positioning beyond a conventional premium spirits product into a broader luxury experience.

Yacht Life's competition history extends beyond the Bartender Spirits Awards. At the 2024 USA Spirits Ratings, Yacht Life Vodka received a Silver Medal with 83 points. At the 2025 USA Spirits Ratings, it received another Silver Medal, this time with 85 points.

What makes Yacht Life particularly interesting is that the company has not tried to separate the liquid from the world it wants consumers to inhabit.

The bottle is designed around life aboard a yacht. The cocktails are developed with bartenders. The digital experience extends into travel, music, recipes, and yachting culture. Even the brand language consistently returns to the idea of enjoying good spirits as part of a broader experience rather than treating vodka simply as a neutral cocktail component.

That gives Yacht Life a clear position in a crowded premium vodka category.

It is not attempting to compete solely through technical production claims. Instead, the brand has built its identity around the intersection of spirit, design, hospitality, and lifestyle, with the liquid providing the foundation for that proposition.

The 2024 Bartender Spirits Awards Silver Medal at 88 points is particularly relevant in that context. It gives the brand recognition from a competition whose perspective is closely connected to the people who ultimately decide how spirits are used in bars and restaurants.

For Yacht Life Vodka, the ambition was there from the first sketch: create a vodka sophisticated enough for the premium spirits world, practical enough for life at sea, and distinctive enough to be remembered.

The bottle may have been designed for a yacht.

But the larger proposition is about creating a particular state of mind, wherever the drink happens to be poured.
